Visiting Melbourne Zoo Click to Visit thier site!Melbourne Zoo

Melbourne Zoo is an historic zoo with an innovative master plan that displays a representative sample of the world's fauna and flora in a series of bioclimatic (or habitat) zones. Melbourne Zoo is clearly one of the world's great zoos.

On October 7, 2002 Dad and I took a train to Melbourne to visit the Melbourne Zoo.  While at the zoo we saw a tons of different species all enjoying their natural habitat.

The Lions Pen. It's too bad there is a cage but then again probably better so no one gets hurt. But would be nice to get a better picture of them.      I really like this picture dad took of me. The flowers turned out beautiful.

This is a picture of a banana tree. A very big tree and didn't see any banana's growing. But this is a zoo so maybe the animals got them.  Some Gorilla's in the back ground. Wish there was a way to get closer for a better picture. But safety is the number 1 issue.    Here I am standing near a ton of bamboo trees. Sure would be nice to have these cool trees and vegetation back at home.

Some of the animals we noticed here were a bit lazy. Take a look at this fox for example.

These little guys were the coolest. Walking around and wondering what is going on. This one here walked up pretty close so was able to get this nice shot of him.       The Melbourne Subway system was a lot of fun.

One of many train stops through Melbourne. This one is interesting because the freeway above is called the Citylink. The Citylink is a toll-road which goes through the city on a raised highway.  This is the inside of one on many tains that go through Melbourne. This train happens to go through the subway system which Melbourne has.
