The other day I got the chance to go out and see Buckley Falls.  Buckley Falls are located on the Barwon River.  The falls are named after escaped convict William Buckley who lived in the area with Aborigines for 32 years from 1803.  More info on Buckley Falls.

The lookout area here was gorgeous.  There are paths and trails here for hiking or even jogging.  I sure got my work out just walking around.

Sure was some hike to make it down to the falls.  Actually was just over a few hundred steps down a nice set of stairs provided.  As you can see the falls aren't all that big but they sure do make for a nice picture.  Down the  river a bit there are some more falls but the clouds weren't being much help.

I wanted to add this picture because the houses over here are beautiful.  This was on our way out of the falls.  I took this picture while in the car and what a beauty.  Thanks to Rachel for the beautiful digital camera she bought me.
