On September 23, 2002 my Dad and I took a two hour drive up to Healesville.  Healesville, Vic. is a small village town surrounded by vineyards and low lying mountains.  The current population of Healesville is 5416.  Click here to learn more about Healesville, Vic.

This is the map of Healesville Sanctuary. The Sanctuary has ever animal native to Australia  Here is a pretty bird taking a look around a bit.    The scenery was awesome at the Sanctuary. As you can see everything is bright green.  A great picture of my Dad having a good time at Healesville. We both had a nice time while visiting the Sanctuary.

Here this little Kangaroo hopped right on by us like we weren't even there.  A very beautiful bird with a bit of rainbow on him.  Some how this bird managed to stand on one leg like this for quite sometime.

No these aren't dogs. These are Dingo's that are similar to wolves in the states.    This Kangaroo made my whole day and even my whole trip. I not only got to pet him but scratch behind his ears as well. I did have to climb over a little rope though go up and see him which really not allowed.    Here is a Koala Bear sitting up in the tree. They sure are very funny and was fun watching them sit up in a tree and look around a bit.

I feel like I should go bring him a copy of this picture or something. It was so cool how he stood there looking at everyone.
